As much as DataBoy loved the BlackBerry 8830(DataGirl can verify), We can't help but think Lady Gaga needs a slightly more sleek, updated BlackBerry to go with those shades, dress and shoes.....

Want more evidence that the Pre release is imminent? How about AT&T sending a document around their internal network for employees to bone-up on some anti-Pre, pro-iPhone talking points ...and then holding some in-store seminars for employees to make sure they get the message

All you 8830 owners out there can appreciate this one. All you 9530 owners, will be kind of puzzled by it. In any event, the latest official OS update to come from Verizon is for the 8830 and now puts that device officially at OS 4.5.0.138, which can be downloaded through Verizon's BlackBerry page. Seems like the wait for this one was forever, but the day has finally come. Now Verizon, can we get a new OS approved for the Storm please?
Download The Offical 4.5.0.138 Directly From Verizon

It's here!!! Head to mobile.blackberry.com on your Berry's browser to download!
* Note to existing Leaked Facebook 1.5 Users: If you previously were running a leaked copy of Facebook 1.5 on your device it sounds like you may need to do a handheld wipe to rid your BlackBerry of the leaked version's database. The official version doesn't seem to recognize the in-between leaked version, so it creates a new duplicate database. Deleting the leaked version and doing a battery pull before installing the official doesn't quite seem to do the trick. However, you can still install and run the new version even if you don't do the wipe... you're just hogging a bit of resources to no benefit. If you were running a leaked version, you can drop your findings on this in the comments. *
More Apps @
1.Pandora Radio is officially my most favorite application right now! You can go to www.pandora.com from your blackberry browser to download this application. Basically this application allows you to create your own stations. All you have to do is enter in the artists or the titles of the songs that you would like to hear ,Pandora will create a radio station that will play music of that same genre. I currently have about 10 stations. My stations include, hip-hop, soft rock, neo-soul, gospel, the enjoyable Cuban rhythms of Ibrahim Ferrer..... and everything in between.

YOUMAIL is my second favorite application. For those of us who are tired of paying the extra $2.99 for visual voicemail through our carrier, Youmail is the app for you! Save that extra change for a Chai Tea Latte from Starbucks. The impressive thing about this app is that it will address your contacts by name when the voicemail answers. You also have the option of having a different voicemail greeting for specific callers .
3.WEATHER BUG- Displays LIVE local weather conditions in the world featuring detailed forecasts, radar, live camera shots, news, and severe weather alerts. The program is available for download from WeatherBug's website,
WeatherBug is also available for download for iPhone or iPod Touch via the App Store.
4.BBTRAN
- I fell across this app one day and will not let it go. This is much more that your basic "Spanish, English, French" translator. BBTran is a online multi-translation application for BlackBerry devices. It translates words, phrases, sentences, and does a dictionary lookup in 40+ languages with 1000+ translation directions. BBTran pulls it's information from various online services such as Google Translate, Systran, FreeTranslation, Reference.com.... what more can I say? My only dislike with this app is that it doesn't allow you to copy and paste the translated phrase or sentence. Even with that.... BBtran is a keeper! Install BBTran OTA by typing the following address directly in BlackBerry Browser: http://ota.bbtran.com/auto
