Close applications for a faster BlackBerry
There are two really quick ways to close out applications which might be taking up memory and bandwidth. First is to just click on the application, then once in it hit the Menu button and close. I’ve been trying to make a habit of closing out unused applications, so hopefully this isn’t as big a problem in the future. The other is to hit Menu in the Applications Menu, and select Switch Application. That should give you a list of running applications. Close out as many as you possibly can.
Of course, if you don’t have any signal-gathering applications open, you might be stuck with a choppy stream. But if you have them open and aren’t getting optimal streaming strength, close out all those other applications and see if it helps.
